Grad dinner

To celebrate graduation for the following successful graduates, we decided to go to
Casa Di Nico,
King St Wharf
for "all you can eat pasta"
6:15pm, 27 March 2007

Ronnie was in charge of ordering, and ordered way too many entrees - bruschetta nd garlic foccacia. We were getting full before the pasta even came!

The 3 pasta varieties consisted of (clockwise from bottom) a creamy sauce with spiral pasta, a spicy bean sauce with tubes of pasta and a tomato-ey based sauce with maccaroni.

The lovely people who came:

(Jo, Brian, Diana, Lia)(Elaine, Gina, me, Allan)
(Mandy, Lisa, Ronnie)(Chloe, Ming)

tropfest

Tropfest was on 19 February 2007. But thought it should have a posting. It was really good this year, and it didn't rain!

So that was excellent. =P

The theme this year was "ah-choo" aka sneeze.

Went with Elaine, Howard and Allan - and then Allan bought Mei-Hoong! A chinese school friend of mine and Howard's. It was such a SMALL world.

Anyways, some photos from that day.

Happy 1 Month KPMG

People say that time flies when you're having fun... but I don't think I would call work "fun".

Though time definitely has passed by real quickly.

It's been one month since I've started full-time work at KPMG!!!

Can you believe it? Nope, neither can I.

Thought the occasion warranted a posting on my blog!

It's a nice place to work at - people are nice and friendly, work is work, I've decorated my desk with Europe photos, and other photos (so it's MY desk nows) and our division has drinks every Friday afternoon! Hehehe...

So for all those still looking for jobs - come to KPMG! We can have lunch together!

2 x Happy Birthdays!

Saturday, 27th January 2007

Li En's 21st Birthday lunch at "Milk & two" 1 Harris Street, Pyrmont. The theme being summery for girls - ie skirts or dresses, and collared shirts for boys.

It was a beautiful day, with the water and blue sky in the background.

The food was so good!!!
There was a selection of entrees and mains -I chose:
(salmon cakes)(blue eye fish with a lemony sauce)
(coffee)(selection of desserts!!!)

North Sydney Girls

Then at night, it was Andy's 22nd Birthday dinner at this Korean place in Chatswood. 1 Katherine Road, Chatswood. Though didn't eat much at all, considering I was SO FULL from lunch.

Then afterwards, went to support a friend in a dance competition. He was REALLY REALLY GOOD! Though the results were totally rigged.

All in all - had a great day! So two shout outs to:
Li En - Happy 21st Birthday, and
Andy - Happy 22nd Birthday!!!

london

London was one of my favourite places!

Definitely going back there one day. Didn't even finish sight seeing - didn't get to see Kensington castle or Harrod's and could only do one block of Oxford St shopping. There just wasn't enough time.

(waiting for a train at Heathrow tube station)
(at Trafalgar Square - think Monopoly!)

(big ben)(london's eye)

the next day we joined the big bus company, to go on a bus ride around london. the pass was 18 pounds which was for 2 days, and a free ride on the ferry.

(on the bus)
(trafalgar square again, went inside the national gallery this time and saw the 'sunflower' painting by van gogh)
(we felt like being cheap & bought sandwiches to eat from tesco's, sat on the bench for lunch)

went to the tower bridge next, and the castle that stands beside it

(note the tower bridge is better looking than the london bridge)

afterwards caught a ferry to london's eye, and then went on the ferris wheel. (if you know me, i LOVE ferris wheels, and this was no exception) unfortunately, my camera battery ran out of battery, hence not a lot of photos.

(inside the carriage)(one of the views from the wheel)

we wanted to watch a musical the next night, so headed out towards leicester square to buy tickets. also had dinner there - the BEST fish and chips I've ever had (also the most expensive, but it was so worth it!)

(me and my meal)(chinatown)

end of day #1 and #2 in london.

day#3, went to st paul's cathedral. it was HUGE! the painted ceiling of this church is so detailed, and beautiful. Definitely breathtaking.

But i think the most unforgettable memory from this church is the 534 steps we took to get to the top of the church to see the views of london!!! the stairs were narrow in width and length, and very spirally. coming down was bad, felt very dizzy.

(christian has this superstition where the person in the middle of a 3person photo, will dissapear - hence he is hiding)

2 sad moments

1. I finally finished unpacking today, which means the trip is officially over.

2. because of you, i cried today. But I will no longer be silly.
